Growing up in “Stephen King Country”, Alan P. Marks has long dreamed of becoming a best-selling author (or at least getting a novel published).
In the meantime, he teaches at the University of Maine where, after getting his M.A. in Creative Writing from there (longer ago than he cares to admit), he simply never left. He teaches courses on writing and literature, including topics such as monsters, the apocalypse, vampires, and (yes) Stephen King.
Much more recently, Alan received his MFA in Creative Writing from the Stonecoast program at the University of Southern Maine.
